How Much Does a Breast Lift Cost?

Here in Chicago, the cost of breast lift surgery depends very much on the specifics of the surgery. During your consultation, we offer you a written estimate for your procedure that details the anticipated fees. There’s no need to decide immediately during this appointment. Instead, you can take home the estimate and share it with other household decision-makers before moving forward with your surgery.

What Are the Different Types of Breast Lift?

Your breast lift surgery is tailored to your needs. During the planning process, Dr. Sisco takes extensive measurements of your breasts and facilitates a candid discussion with you about your ideal outcome. Typically, a breast lift is performed using 1 of the following incision types:

Regardless of the incision that’s the best match for you, Dr. Sisco uses meticulous techniques during surgery to ensure that the resulting scar is as discreet as possible.

Choosing Between a Breast Lift and Augmentation

A breast lift removes sagging, excess skin and raises the breasts to create more shapely, youthfully positioned breasts, but it doesn’t add the volume you would get from a breast augmentation. Women who want both fuller and more elevated breasts often combine their breast lift with implants to achieve the results they’re looking for.

Breast lift surgery can also be combined with breast implant removal surgery to reshape the breasts or breast reduction to reduce the size of your breasts and lift them. During your consultation, Dr. Sisco listens carefully to your aesthetic goals and helps you decide on the best approach.

What Can I Expect on the Day of My Breast Lift Surgery?

Dr. Sisco performs breast lift surgery as an outpatient procedure. However, to ensure your comfort, you’ll be under general anesthesia for the duration. The procedure can take a couple of hours to complete, after which you’re briefly monitored before being able to return home in the care of an adult.

How Long Is Recovery From a Breast Lift?

Recuperation after a breast lift is often faster than patients anticipate, although you should expect some bruising and swelling in the breast area that will mostly resolve within a couple of weeks of the surgery. Wearing a support bra helps minimize swelling; you will receive guidance from Dr. Sisco on how to address these and other issues during your recovery.

If you work a relatively sedentary job, you should be able to comfortably return to the office within a week. However, it’s best to avoid anything strenuous for several more weeks.

It’s important to keep your incisions dry and protected during your recovery. Once you are cleared to shower after surgery, be sure to pat your incisions thoroughly dry. Do not sit in a bathtub or go swimming for the first 4 weeks after surgery so that your incisions have time to heal fully before being immersed in water. With proper care, breast lift incisions will fade from red to light pink over the next few months and begin to flatten.

How Long After a Breast Lift Can I Sleep on My Side?

After a breast lift, avoid sleeping on your side or stomach for the first week or two to prevent putting pressure on the incisions. It’s best to sleep on your back propped up with pillows or in a recliner as directed by Dr. Sicso.

How Long Does a Breast Lift Last?

Your breast lift results can last for many years, especially if your weight stays relatively stable and you don’t become pregnant.

Achieve Smoother Contours With Axillary Breast Tissue Excision

Dr. Sisco performed my breast implant removal under local anesthesia. I was initially impressed by his reviews, credentials, and gallery of before and afters. When I met him in the consultation I felt very comfortable and at ease. He was honest, kind, and understanding. He made the breast implant removal procedure easy and smooth, I was shocked at how easy it ended up being. My recovery has also been smooth. I feel that Dr. Sisco tries to make things as easy and non-invasive as possible for you, while also being realistic and honest. I’m grateful to have found him.
Dr Sisco is one of the best surgeons I have had. I highly recommend! Very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. I am so happy with my results!! I also want to give kudos to the entire office: his PA, MA's, and the on call were always extremely nice, calm, professional.
Dr. Mark Sisco is truly a master of his trade. I never expected my breasts to look so great. To say I was scared was an understatement, I had never had any type of surgery. I interviewed numerous surgeons, my friends interviewed surgeons for me, no one had the credentials that Dr. Sisco has. Dr. Sisco and his team prepared me thoroughly for every aspect of my breast cancer surgery. Their attention and his attention to every detail was impressive. For me, with my level of fear, the best part of the surgery was the moment he came to see me before he operated. I felt an instant sense of calm, I knew I was in the right hands. I knew the best that could be done for me was being done. Dr. Sisco is an artist and a good, good man.
I went to Dr Sisco for a revised breast lift after very disappointing results from Dr Kotis who performed the wrong lift yet charged the same. I can not be happier! I finally have the right lift!! Dr Sisco was caring, he understood my needs, attentively listened and clearly communicated what the expectations should be and thereby the results. His work was meticulous vs sloppy and bedside manners were professional and attentive vs dismissive and rushed.
Dr. Sisco has great bed side manners, he listens to you and will answer all of your questions and/or concerns. He takes the time that is needed. He is very professional and caring.
This is listed under my husband's name, but I had a fabulous experience with Dr. Sisco. He couldn't have been nicer through every stage of my experience, and is an absolutely fabulous surgeon. I couldn't be happier with the results from my procedure. I highly recommend him and his staff. Do not hesitate to use him if you need breast surgery.
Mark Sisco is an incredibly talented artist / surgeon and a really kind, warm, caring person. I cannot say enough positive words about my experience with him. He provided me with what I consider the "silver lining" of a potentially horrible situation.
The best
Dr. Sisco did an amazing job with my reduction! I finally feel like I fit into my body. He takes the time to listen to you and gives you his honest opinions. I thought I might need a lift and he said that would not be necessary. Great bedside manner and surgeon. I also appreciate that he is on time with his appointments.
