Breast Reconstruction with Tissue Expander

Case ID: 6230

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

This patient, in her 40s, was diagnosed with DCIS in one breast. Dr. Pesce performed a nipple-sparing mastectomy, preserving the natural breast skin and nipple. Dr. Sisco then performed breast reconstruction using a tissue expander placed beneath the chest muscle, which was later exchanged for a permanent breast implant. Her reconstruction restored breast shape and volume while preserving much of her natural appearance.
