Skin-Sparing Mastectomy Reconstruction with Implants

Case ID: 471

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

The before-and-after photographs highlight the successful breast reconstruction performed by Dr. Mark Sisco on a woman with a history of breast cancer who underwent a double mastectomy. She presented with a desire for a significantly smaller breast size, in keeping with her personal aesthetic goals. During her mastectomy, Dr. Sisco used a reduction pattern to remove excess skin and better match her desired breast size. Following a skin-sparing mastectomy and tissue expander reconstruction, a smaller prepectoral breast implant was placed in a second stage to achieve a more natural and proportionate appearance. Later, the patient underwent nipple reconstruction and tattooing to complete her aesthetic restoration. The final result is a more harmonious and balanced breast appearance that is better proportioned to her body. The patient is extremely satisfied with the outcome, feeling that her reconstructed breasts now align with her personal expectations and body image.
