Case Details

The before-and-after photographs highlight the successful outcome of a two-stage breast reconstruction performed by Dr. Mark Sisco on a woman who underwent a skin-sparing mastectomy. In the first stage, Dr. Sisco used tissue expanders placed in the prepectoral plane, incorporating a breast lift technique to create a more youthful and elevated breast contour. This approach helped prepare the breast for final reconstruction while maintaining the natural shape of the breast mound. In the second stage, the patient underwent fat grafting to improve breast volume and shape, followed by the placement of smaller silicone implants than her original size to achieve a more proportionate and balanced appearance. To complete the reconstruction, she had 3D tattooing, which added realistic detail to the nipple-areolar complex. The result is a harmonious, well-proportioned breast shape that enhances her overall body contour, with the patient expressing satisfaction with the final outcome and improved confidence in her appearance.
